After the success of the first event, a second litter pick has been arranged for Saturday 28th March 2009.  Meeting at 9am the group of volunteers will pick up rubbish from the verges between the Copmanthorpe bus shelter and Askham Bryan village.  Volunteers are welcome; high visibility vests, tongs and gloves will be provided although [...]

York and Selby District held a ‘Stop the Drop’ litter pick on Saturday 15th November.  The event was organised in conjunction with the City of York Council and Copmanthorpe Parish Council.  The team of 16 volunteers recovered 47 bags of rubbish from the verges and Sustrans cycle track.

The AGM of the York and Selby branch will be held on 19th November at the Medical Rooms, Stonegate, York at 7.30pm.  Guest speaker for the evening will Terry Collins,  Director of Neighbourhood Services at York City Council who will be discussing Recycling.  Everyone is welcome.
